Traditionally Sanbio holds a strong position in the immunology market. With our wide portfolio of antibodies we can fulfill all research needs. All antibodies, ELISA kits, proteins and additional products are from well-established suppliers. Sanbio was one of the first companies to supply a monoclonal antibody.

With our large portfolio you can search specific antibodies online. We provide search results of a large quantity of antibodies online. If the right product is not in our portfolio we even offer antibody engineering services. A proprietary cloning system to enable rapid reformatting of antibodies in almost any format. This antibody customization service includes chimerization, humanization, isotype switching and the manufacturing of recombinant antibody fragments and bispecific antibodies.

Besides antibodies, Sanbio is offering complete solutions for your research due to our large portfolio of assay kits. From several suppliers we distribute:

  • Cell- based assays
  • Detection kits
  • ELISA kits
  • Enzyme Activity kits
  • Inhibitor Screening Assays
  • Sample Preparation kits

As our Immunology range is very wide we would like to highlight five more product categories: MHC tetramers, recombinant proteins, fusion proteins, cytokines and growth factors.

MHC tetramers
State of the art tools for T cell based immunotherapies. MHC tetramers are complexes of four major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules, which are associated with a specific peptide and bound to a fluorochrome-conjugated streptavidin. There are two types of tetramers, class I and class II. Class I tetramers bind to a distinct set of T cell receptors (TCRs) on a subset of CD8+ T cells. Class II tetramers bind to a distinct population of CD4+ T cells. Thus, by mixing tetramers with peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) or whole blood and using flow cytometry as a detection system, all CD4+ or CD8+ T cells that are specific for one peptide in the context of a particular MHC allele can be detected, regardless of functionality. Simply stated, MHC tetramer reagents allow measurement of a cellular immune response directed toward single peptide specificity. The heavy chain portion of human and macaque class I tetramers contains a patented mutation to minimize non-specific binding of tetramers to CD8 on the cell surface, improving the specificity of these reagents to accurately discriminate the rare, antigen-specific T cells from the general CD8+ T cell population.

Recombinant Proteins
Proteins encoded by a gene (recombinant DNA) that has been cloned in a system that supports expression of the gene and translation of messenger RNA

Fusion Proteins: useful in techniques such as protein purification or blocking experiments.

Cytokines: proteins that are secreted by specific cells of the immune system. Cytokines are a category of signaling molecules that mediate and regulate immunity, inflammation and hematopoiesis.

Growth factors:
Growth factors refer to the diffusible signaling proteins that stimulate cell growth, differentiation, survival, inflammation and tissue repair.
