About Histocyte

HistoCyte provides analyte control material for same-slide use in histopathology. Controls for PD-L1, Her2, ER, PR, EML4-ALK, ROS1 NPM-ALK, HPV and p16 are already developed by HistoCyte. As the products can be ordered in several formats they are suitable for each individual workflow and laboratory.

HistoCyte is offering the products as pre-cut slides or as full blocks of cell micro-assays. They contain 2mm diameter cores that are between 3mm and 3.5mm in length. HistoCyte makes sure that the required range of expression for biomarkers are delivered.

An overview of the Histocyte product line:

HistoCyte Dynamic Range Controls: full range of expression

  • Breast Analyte Control: this control contains five cell lines that demonstrate a dynamic range of expression for ER, PR and HER2. Ideal for use as a same slide control in IHC for laboratiories that need a general use breast control.
  • Estrogen Receptor Analyte Control: this control contains four cores, from negative to high.
  • Progesterone Receptor Analyte Control: this control contains four cores, from negative to high.
  • HER2 Analyte Control: A reliable HER2 control, enhanced from the Breast Analyte Control.
  • HPV/p16 Analyte Control: this control contains four cell lines to demonstrate expression for high risk human papillomavirus type 16 and 18. To be used as a same slide control for HPV in situ hybridization and p16 IHC.
  • PDL-1 Analyte Control: control consisting out of four different cell lines with PD-L1 expression levels to demonstrate the sensitivity of the assay.

HistoCyte Standard Range Controls: positive and negative expression

  • ALK-Lung (EML4-ALK) Analyte Control: the control holds two cell lines that demonstrate positive and negative expression of EML4-ALK associated lung cancer to be used as a same slide control in IHC.
  • ALK-Lymphoma (NPM-ALK) Analyte Control: to demonstrate positive and negative expression of NPM-ALK associated lymphoma. To be used as a same slide control in IHC.
  • Breast Analyte Control: this control contains two cell lines to demonstrate positive and negative expression of ER, PR and HER2.
  • HPV/p16 Analyte Control: analyte control containing three cell lines to demonstrate high, medium and negative expression of high risk human papillomavirus type 16 and 18. At the same time high homogenous, high heterogenous and negative expression of p16. Same slide control to demonstrate assay sensitivity.
  • ROS1 Analyte Control: containing two cell cores for demonstrating either positive or negative for ROS1.
