Arvensis has over 30 years’ experience designing and manufacturing PCR consumables. They perfectly understand the demanding requirements for the best possible PCR plates resulting in their high quality and excellent performing A-Frame® PCR plates. They have a very extensive quality control program including several visual inspections for defects throughout the manufacturing process, measurement of several critical areas for conformance to their dimensional requirements, and for every plate a sensitivity electronic well-integrity test is performed to ensure there are no holes in the well. In addition, the plates are checked for plate and well integrity, a PCR evaporation test will be performed to ensure their plates do not leak after heat-sealing, and further tests to ensure there is no DNase or RNase contamination and that the plates are free from detectable human genomic DNA and PCR inhibitors.

We and Arvensis are both proud to have these unique PCR plates in our portfolio because this is the world’s first PCR plate designed to help reduce plastic waste by using earth-friendly biocomposite materials. The rigid biocomposite frame are produced from sustainable-sourced plant biomass, resulting in a reduction of petroleum-derived plastic used to manufacture the frame by 46-50% depending on the frame style. These B-frames® have only half the carbon footprint to ordinary PCR plates. The thin-walled wells are made from 100% virgin medical grade low bind polypropylene. These plates are manufactured to the highest quality standards for your PCR and qPCR applications and fits with a wide range of thermos cyclers and is fully automation compatible.
