What are antibodies?
Antibodies, also known as immunoglobulins, are large Y-shaped Proteins. Antibodies are naturally produced mainly by plasma cells that are used by the immune system to neutralize pathogens. Examples of pathogens are pathogenic bacteria and viruses. This means that antibodies play a crucial role in the defense against infection and disease of the immune system.
What are monoclonal antibodies?
Monoclonal antibodies are antibodies made by identical immune cells that are all clones of a unique parent cell. This means that monoclonal antibodies only bind to the same epitope on the antigen.
Sanbio offers a large portfolio of high quality monoclonal antibodies. Antibodies with a unique clone number and high specificity (due to one epitope target) which results in less background staining and low cross-reactivity with other proteins. If you are looking for a specific monoclonal antibody, do not hesitate to contact email@example.com or to browse our website. Our portfolio consists out of >120.000 antibodies for Immunology and nearly 10.000 antibodies for Pathology.
What are polyclonal antibodies?
Polyclonal antibodies are a mixture of antibodies and bind to multiple epitopes on the antigen.
Sanbio offers a wide portfolio of polyclonal antibodies, both for Immunology and Pathology research. We have antibodies against >12.000 targets available. If you are looking for a polyclonal antibody, do not hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org or to browse our website. We can help you with nearly all requests that will advance your research. For example: we have polyclonal antibodies that are raised against whole proteins. We are looking forward to discuss your antibody research.
