Human anti golimumab (drug/target complex) antibody, clone AbD20893_hIgG1 is a Type 3 anti-idiotypic antibody that specifically recognizes golimumab when bound to tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) i.e. the drug/target complex. Clone AbD20893_hIgG1 does not recognize unbound golimumab nor free TNF&alpha. Human anti golimumab (drug/target complex) antibody, clone AbD20893_hIgG1 may be used to measure golimumab when captured by immobilized human TNFα or golimumab/TNFα levels in serum from patients.Golimumab, marketed under the brand name Simponi, is a recombinant human IgG1/kappa monoclonal antibody approved for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. This therapeutic antibody, directed against TNFα, acts by blocking the binding of TNFα to its receptors, resulting in a down-regulation of the inflammatory response associated with autoimmune diseases.View a summary of all anti-golimumab antibodies
