The main topics of the 9th ESLHO Symposium are MRD diagnostics and immune monitoring for targeted therapies in the hematology & immunology fields. Experts in laboratory diagnostics and clinical trials will share their experience and opinions on immune monitoring and targeted immunotherapies applied to diseases in the area of hemato-oncology, oncology and immunology, including MRD measurements.

The 9th ESLHO Symposium will consist of 6 scientific sessions that highlight different aspects of monitoring of immunotherapies:
Session 1: Advanced immune monitoring
Session 2: Targeting the immune system
Session 3: Escape from treatment
Session 4: CAR T-cell therapy
Session 5: MRD immune monitoring
Session 6: Round table discussion (Opportunities and challenges in immune monitoring)

Each session will consist of lectures by well-known international speakers, as well as one or two abstract-based lectures. An additional 25 abstracts will be selected for poster presentations.

The 9th ESLHO Symposium will be preceded by an IVDR workshop. This workshop will provide the latest updates on the implementation of the IVDR, which will be effective from 26 May 2022 onwards. The focus will be on consequences for diagnostic laboratories, including the availability of CE-IVD assays and the use of laboratory developed tests (LDTs) – in particular how to generate analytical and clinical performance data and the required technical documentation for LDTs. This will include discussions on how to benefit from collective action during the preparation for the IVDR, and the opportunities for collaboration with industry.
