17-Epiestriol is a metabolite of estrone (Item No. 10006485).{60391} It is formed from estrone via a 16a-hydroxy estrone (Item No. 15208) intermediate by reduction of the C-17 ketone. 17-Epiestriol binds to estrogen receptor a (ERa) and ERB with relative binding affinities of 29 and 80 compared with 17B-estradiol (Item No. 10006315).
