CyberGene AB is a privately owned Swedish company, founded in 1995. Since 1995 the company has been producing high quality oligo nucleotides, DNA sequencing and genotyping analysis services.
The company has always had a strong focus on development of new products. In 2004 the CE labeled ChromoQuant diagnostic kit and evaluation software was introduced to the market. An improved version 2 was launched in July 2005. ChromoQuant® CE marked IVD compliant kit for diagnosing common chromosomal disorders in fetuses. ChromoQuant® detects aneuploidies in chromosomes 13, 18, 21 and X/Y. ChromoQuant® is based on QF-PCR technology and supports high throughput analysis. Data evaluation is facilitated by ChromoQuant Visualizer® decision support software.
ChromoQuant® is CE marked and produced in accordance to ISO 13485-2003 and ISO 9001-2000. ChromoQuant® has been thoroughly validated. Initially as part of a joint study together with the department of clinical genetics at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden (2002-2004). Currently a large number of samples have been evaluated in routine clinical analysis. No false positives or false negatives are reported.
