2nd International Workshop for Cancer Genetic & Cytogenetic Diagnostics

26Mar - 28 Mar 2014
UMC St. Radboud, Nijmegen, The Netherlands

Sanbio and Asuragen are together sponsoring the 2nd International Workshop for Cancer Genetic & Cytogenetic Diagnostics.

The workshop will focus on all aspects concerning cancer cytogenetics. Technical aspects such as conventional karyotyping, methods and principles of Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) and new methods in cytogenetics such as micro-array genomic profiling, MLPA and next generation sequencing will be discussed.

During the course interpretation of cytogenetic and genetic data in relation with cancer (onco-haematology and solid tumors) and predisposition to cancer will be presented. Practical exercises will be offered with the ISCN 2013 system for chromosome aberrations and with cytogenetic and genomic databases. Furthermore students will practice with data obtained by karyotyping, FISH and micro-array and translation of these data in a report. Participants will have the opportunity to present their own observations and cytogenetic findings which are difficult to interpret.

During this meeting Asuragen will give a data analysis workshop regarding the BCR/ABL Quant and ARQ IS Calibrators. Don't miss out on it and register yourself today.

Date: Wednesday 26th of March, 2014
Time Schedule: 13.50h to 14.55h
Computer Room: Komeet D

We also invite you to visit the Sanbio & Asuragen booth to meet with our application specialist Saskia Theunisse, and Deborah Mukherjee en Ninad Pendse from Asuragen.
